June 2025 Diploma Exams

This only applies to students currently registered in courses with Diploma Exams. You have been working all semester to prepare for the Alberta Education-mandated Diploma Exams starting Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Here are some key reminders from the Diploma Exam test writing guidebook:

• Personal items (e.g., backpacks, purses, bags) are NOT allowed in the exam room. Personal items must be left in lockers or vehicles. We will provide dictionaries and thesauri; students are not to bring their own. 
•  All wireless technologies, such as cell phones, smart watches, headphones, etc., are strictly prohibited during exams.
• Students should move to their designated writing area (e.g., South Gym, Drama Room, or Learning Commons) between 8:30 A.M. and 8:45 A.M. or as soon as students arrive off the buses.
• At 9:00 A.M., Diploma Exam rules and instructions will be read to all students. 
• Students will be required to stay in the diploma exam writing room for a minimum of 1 hour.
• Once students are seated, they may not get out of their seats for any reason. If they need to use a bathroom, they must raise their hand and wait for a supervisor to approach them. Students will need to know their date of birth and complete mailing address, including their postal code.
