Principal's Message

I am honoured to work with the staff of Chestermere High School (CHS) as the Principal. Many years ago, I began my teaching career at CHS as a Chemistry and Science Teacher. I was thrilled to work with students in that capacity for over twelve years. During that time, I met thousands of amazing students, parents, staff members, and community members.

As an educator and school leader, CHS was instrumental in providing me with a rich and supportive learning environment where I began to develop my leadership skills as a Department Head, Learning Lead, Alberta Initiative for School Improvement (AISI) School Lead, and Community of Practice Facilitator for Rocky View Schools. I left the classroom to become an Administrator at Mitford Middle School, George McDougall High School, and, most recently, as the Acting Principal of W. H. Croxford High School.

As the Principal of CHS I am very excited to join this dynamic learning environment.  My first goal is to get to know the staff, students, and parents as quickly as possible so that we can work together to optimize the learning within our school. This year will undoubtedly bring many incredible educational moments and it is my hope to engage and empower our students, staff, and community to maximize the learning potential of the exceptional students who come through our doors.

Mr. Robertson
